Born in Romania and raised in NYC, Nona Catusanu (also credited as Nona Cătușanu) is a cinematographer and visual artist. She graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and TV and went on to study in the Cinematography Master’s Program at The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) in the Czech Republic. She is a recipient of the ASC Vision Mentorship Award.

Nona has mounted productions both large and small across three continents, including long and short form narratives, documentaries and commercials for such diverse clients as HBO, The New York Times, Vogue, History, Food Network, ASICS, Maybelline, and Spotify among many others. Her projects have been showcased at festivals around the world.

She is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG Local 600).
